Energy
Exercise
45-60 minutes aerobic sessions in Zones 1–3.
Cold Exposure
Cold exposure improves mitogenesis and mitoptosis/mitophagy. Similar to exercise where mitochondria has to produce energy/light and metabolic water.
Sun exposure
Red Light
Red light stimulates ETC complexes and reduces viscosity of water in the cell so ATP generation is improved.
Near-Infrared (NIR) / Infrared Light
Infrared light stimulates ATP production in mitochondria.
UV
Have to be careful about UV due to hormetic response. Prefer morning and evening sun. What we know currently is that the ATP production drops when exposed to UVA, then rebounds to higher than baseline levels.
Magnetic
Using magnetic fields can be useful for speeding up ATP generation in the mitochondria. Magnetico Sleep Pads etc are used. The research in this area is still emerging.
