Thiamine
Mg converts thiamine into thiamine pyropshosphate. Inside the cell, thiamine pyrophosphokinase removes a phosphate from ATP and attaches it to thiamine to make TPP (Thiamine Pyrophosphate).
This reaction requires divalent cation. Magnesium ion is a divalent cation. Taking thiamine increases magnesium demand.
