Meetings
Meetings are big time cost for teams. Guidelines I suggest:
- must have agenda linked with clear purpose e.g., “decide whether to implement X tomorrow”
- goals and to-make decisions clearly defined with assigned 1 decision owner
- who should attend and why - mark as optional if unclear
- preparation materials - agenda must include brief or doc for prep for everyone to avoid onboarding using the meeting time
- 25-minute limit - must have good reason to exceed
- async-first - explicitly confirm it can’t be resolved via async communication faster
